Vocational Training Program
Vocational training plays a vital role in empowering adults with special needs to become more self-reliant and independent. At Vruksh, we offer a variety of skill-based vocational activities that generate income. A portion of this income is distributed as a stipend to the special needs adults participating in our training programs, recognizing their contribution and encouraging financial independence.

Participants are assessed based on their abilities, productivity, and work potential, and are placed in different grades. The stipend distribution reflects these grades, ensuring a fair and motivating system.
Vruksh follows a unique approach to employment for adults with special needs. Traditionally, vocational training aims to prepare individuals for employment in external workplaces. While this model may work well for adults without behavioral challenges, it can be difficult for individuals with autism and those with behavioral or social difficulties to sustain consistent employment and income generation.
At Vruksh, we have found that when special needs adults work together as a supportive team, many of these challenges can be effectively addressed. With appropriate supervision, guidance, and encouragement, they are able to develop their skills, contribute meaningfully, and experience the satisfaction of productive work.
Our model of skill development and collaborative work not only benefits the individuals involved but also helps address several challenges faced by their families. By creating a structured, supportive, and inclusive work environment, Vruksh enables adults with special needs to achieve greater confidence, dignity, and independence.
Activities Offered by Our Vocational Department
Vruksh Stores – On-Job Training Initiative
This initiative involves a small departmental store within our premises, where students engage in activities such as receiving a provision list, organizing products, generating bills, delivering items, and handling payments.

Adults with special needs in the vocational batch are trained to create a variety of handmade items:
Cooking and Home Management
Students are taught to prepare specific dishes and follow a set weekly menu:

Apart from these, students are also trained in basic home chores such as cloth drying, cloth folding, ironing, organizing, segregating, and many more.
